Safer Internet Day
Tue 08 Feb 2022Safer Internet Day
Each year in the UK, Safer Internet Day explores a new issue or theme which is impacting the lives of young people in the UK. For 2022 the Day celebrates young people’s role in creating a safer internet and the ways they are shaping the interactive entertainment spaces they are a part of. The platforms young people use are spaces for connection, community and collaboration, which is why the Day challenges them to foster supportive relationships and respectful communities, whilst equipping them with the skills they need to keep themselves and others safe in these spaces.
In our classes we have thought about how to keep ourselves safe online and what is appropriate to use the internet for and what we should and should not share on social media.

Chinese New Year at BLIS
Fri 01 Feb 2019On Friday 1st February we celebrated Chinese New Year at Boughton Leigh Infant School. Some very special guests came into school for assembly where they dressed up in traditional Chinese New Year costumes and played drums. Children were then given the opportunity throughout the day to try on the dragon costumes and play the drums as part of their learning.
The following week Year 2 children visited Boughton Leigh Junior School where they participated in a number of activities for the Chinese New Year Celebration. The activities ranged from creating Chinese Lanterns to using Chop sticks to pick up different items.
