Illness, Medication and First Aid
Medicine consent form, should your child need any medication during the school day please complete this form and hand it to the office with the prescribed medication.
Illness
If your child is ill during the school day we will need to contact you. Please make sure you give up to date contact numbers to the school office.
If your child is ill and will not be attending school, please telephone the school office so that we know your child is away.
Medicines
The only medicines that will be regularly administered in school are asthma inhalers a consent form needs to be completed, these are stored with the named inhaler in your childs classroom and will be administered and recorded under supervision of the class teacher. It is the parents responsibility to make sure the medication is in date.
If it is essential for your child to take other prescribed medication during the school day, you will need to complete a consent form available from the school office or follow the link at the top of this page. Please could you leave the medication and consent form with the school office, so as it may be stored safely and/or refrigerated if necessary.
First Aid
We take every precaution to keep your child safe in school but accidents can happen, these are treated by a member of staff trained in first aid and an accident slip is sent home with your child.
Head Lice
Incidents of head lice are inevitable when you come into contact with lots of children! If any cases occur a text will be sent advising of the need for inspection and treatment where necessary. The school nurse team are available to offer ny guidance or support on 01788 555112.
