The Warren

Welcome to The Warren

The Warren is a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) within our infant school, designed to meet the needs of children who are unable to access a full-time mainstream curriculum due to their communication and interaction needs.

Rooted firmly in our Woodland Values, The Warren offers a calm, nurturing environment where children are given the time, space and support they need to grow. Learning is carefully planned through a combination of adult-led interventions and purposeful play, recognising that young children learn best through secure relationships and meaningful experiences.

An inclusive school community

Our school is fully inclusive and committed to ensuring that every child is valued, supported, and able to flourish. Children in The Warren are part of our wider school community and are supported through a bespoke, highly individualised integration package. This enables them to access learning opportunities alongside their mainstream peers, where appropriate, while receiving the additional support they need.

Integration into mainstream classes is gradual and flexible, shaped around each child’s strengths, needs, and readiness. As every child is unique, the pace and structure of this process will vary, always prioritising emotional wellbeing and success.

At the heart of The Warren is our belief that children learn best when they feel safe, secure, and understood.
