Our School Values

Our Woodland Values

Each value is represented by a woodland animal to help children
remember and live by them every day:

Respect – Horace Hedgehog
“I treat everyone kindly and carefully.”

Awareness – Olive Owl
“I watch, I listen, I learn.”

Determination – Bobby Badger
“I never give up, even when it’s tough.”

Courage – Fern Fox
“I’m brave enough to try.”

Excellence – Digby Deer
“I do my best and aim high.”

Friendship – Saffy Squirrel
“I’m a good friend to everyone.”

These animals and mottos will help children see how the values apply to
learning, play, and life.

The Woodland Way

Alongside our values, we are introducing our new code of
conduct, known as The Woodland Way.

This is simple, memorable, and applies to all:

· Be Ready

· Be Kind

· Be Safe

This will guide how we treat each other, how we learn, and how
we look after ourselves and our environment.

How We’ll Embed the Values

In assemblies and lessons – taught through stories,
celebrations, and real-life examples.
In recognition and rewards – celebrating children who live our
values and follow The Woodland Way.
Across the curriculum – forming a golden thread in every
subject.
At home – families can join in by talking about the animals, their
mottos, and The Woodland Way.

Working Together

We want our values and The Woodland Way to grow strong roots
in both school and home life.

Please support us by encouraging
your child to live these values beyond the school gates –
showing kindness, determination, courage, and friendship in all
that they do.
