OPAL Playday Success
Fri 21 Nov 2025Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome over 130 parents and carers into school for our OPAL Playday. Families had the chance to hear about our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) journey before joining their children outside for a full play session. The playground was filled with excitement as children proudly shared their favourite activities, explored new play opportunities, and demonstrated the confidence and creativity they have developed through OPAL.
The event was a fantastic celebration of play, and we were thrilled by the positive feedback from parents—many of whom commented on how much they enjoyed taking part and how valuable it was to see OPAL in action. Several have already asked when we will be running another playday!
Thank you to everyone who attended and to the staff who made the afternoon such a success. We look forward to continuing our OPAL journey together.

Visit from Severn Trent
Wed 24 Sep 2025We were delighted to welcome a visitor from Severn Trent Water who led a special assembly for our pupils. The children learned about the importance of looking after our drains and pipes by remembering the 3 Ps – only pee, poo, and paper should go down the toilet. They explored how flushing the wrong items, such as wipes or cotton buds, can cause blockages that damage homes and the environment.
The session also focused on using water wisely. Pupils discussed everyday ways to save water, such as turning off the tap while brushing teeth, taking shorter showers instead of baths, and collecting rainwater to water plants. They were surprised to discover how much water simple changes can save over time!
The assembly encouraged everyone to think about how their small actions can make a big difference. The children left with a stronger understanding of how to protect our water systems and use this precious resource sensibly – lessons they can share with their families too.
