Welcome to Year 2.

Our topic this term takes us on a journey through the eyes of Mrs Armitage (an inventor at heart) who travels away from the comforts of her bicycle and the British Isles and onto other continents around the world (geography). We are becoming knowledgeable about different countries and their cultures (RE) and using our literacy skills to compose a post card from a country of our choice. 

We have all been learning a new horrible histories song called Pioneers of transport which looks at the first mast made motor vehicle,  first sustained flight, rocket passenger train and steam engined boat (history).

 

In computing we are learning to programme artifical intelligence robots using algorithms.

 

In mathematics this term we are applying our basic number skills to word problems and getting to grips with fast maths which will aid us to recall multiplication facts with growing accuracy and speed.

 

Red write Inc is continuing with year 2 moving back into class groups for the next step in the programme - Literacy and language.
