PTA and Fundraising

BLIS PTA

Welcome to the Boughton Leigh Infant School PTA page.

We are keen to raise money to support the education of pupils and, at the same time, to raise the profile of the school.

Our first event was a very successful Summer Fair which raised over £865.

If you want to help out at events a couple of times a year or become a more imvolved member of the group, please get in touch with us.

SUPPORTING OUR SCHOOL

By supporting the following initiatives BLIS families can help raise funds to provide extra resources and special treats to enhance our pupils’ education.

50:50 CLUB: The Boughton Leigh Infant School 50:50 Club is a lottery which gives you a chance to win a monthly cash prize. This fundraiser is operated in other schools and has been very successful.

Thank you to those people who paid the £10 fee and signed up for the 50:50 Club at the Summer Fair. This represents a £1 stake in each of the 10 monthly draws (October to July) that will be held during the forthcoming academic year.

Half of the proceeds raised will be given in a cash prize each month. The remaining 50% will be donated to BLIS to benefit pupils. For example if 100 people join the 50:50 club, each month the prize will be £50. If 200 people join, the monthly prize will be £100 and so on.

The 50:50 Club is open to all BLIS families, their relatives and friends. Entrants must be over 16 years old. Sign up at the school office.

EASY FUNDRAISING: Every time you use the easyfundraising.org.uk website a percentage of the price of your purchase – from the weekly shop to annual holiday – will be donated to the school at no extra cost to you.

There are over 3,000 shops and sites ready to make a donation, including Amazon, EBay, Currys, Tesco, easyJet, thetrainline and Sainsbury's. Here’s how to get started:

  • Log on to www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/boughtonleighinfants/ to register.
  • Then every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first to find the site you want for your shopping.
  • Make your purchases as usual.
  • After you’ve checked out, that retailer will make a donation to our school for no extra cost whatsoever.

There are no catches or hidden charges and the school will benefit. Please ask family and friends to do the same and the money we raise will soon start to add up.

BAG 2 SCHOOL: Collection bags for this fundraising initiative are sent home with the children twice a year.

If you need more than one bag you can fill any other bag with items. Donations from friends and family are also very welcome as the amount we raise depends on the weight of the bags. Instead of throwing out unwanted items  please save them until the next collection.
