Our school motto includes the words caring and sharing and we have certainly lived up to that by filling nearly 60 shoeboxes with Christmas treats for needy children around the world. This is the most we have ever donated to the Operation Christmas Child appeal.
Thank you to all families who sent in boxes full of toys, toiletries, stationery and other items to give a seasonal surprise to youngsters who have very little Christmas joy in their lives.
Also thank you to our teaching assistant Mrs Finch who organised the box collection.
Head teacher Mr Moorcroft says: “Our pupils learn about caring for one another and helping those less fortunate than themselves. Supporting Operation Christmas Child is a great way to put these values into action. The boxes may be small but they will bring great joy to underprivileged children.”
