The creator of the Read Write Inc phonics scheme we use in school, Ruth Miskin OBE, enjoyed meeting a group of BLIS pupils when she visited our school.

She was here to hold a regional meeting with local head teachers and teachers. But before the formalities began she took time to read to a group of children and work on a one-to-one basis with selected pupils.
